When is the best time to begin using Premama products?
Premama products are designed to support women through each stage of the maternity wellness journey. Our products are designed specifically for before, during and after pregnancy. They cater to each stage of your motherhood journey. Stage: 1. Cleanse (Balance), 2. Conceive (Fertility for Her & Him), 3. Carry (our line of Prenatals in each delivery format), and 4. Can I take Premama products with other medications?
Typically yes. However, it is important to discuss the use of all medications, vitamins and supplements with your healthcare provider. Every body is unique and therefore has unique needs.
Is it safe to take Premama products if they have expired?
If a product is past its expiration date, it is not harmful. However, some of the nutrients may not be up to their labeled potency. We recommend checking the expiration date on the bottom of the box to ensure your product is not expired before purchase. If you come across an expired product in-store, please let the store manager know so they can make it right :)
Is Premama FDA-Approved?
Premama products are dietary supplements regulated by FDA pursuant to the federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health & Education Act of 1994).
Why does the Premama website have scientific references; caution and warning statements; and FDA disclaimers?
Premama believes in transparency with customers. Pursuant to DSHEA, FDA permits manufacturers to communicate to consumers how dietary supplement ingredient affects a structure or function of the human body. The manufacturer must have the scientific substantiation for any such statement. While citing the references on our website is not required, we believe that every Structure/Function statement we make should be supported by a peer-reviewed scientific study. We encourage our expectant consumers to educate themselves on the science of their dietary supplements. Ideally all dietary supplement companies should do the same. In compliance with DSHEA and FDA regulations, our labeling includes the standard FDA Disclaimer for supplements with Structure/Function statements, Caution statements to help you understand appropriate supplementation usage, and Warning statements where necessary.
Are Premama products prescription (Rx) prenatal vitamins?
No. Premama products are dietary supplement mixes, pills, and soft chews that do not require a prescription and are not covered by insurance. They are available online and in select retailers and pharmacies.
How does Premama compare with prescription (Rx) prenatal vitamins?

Does Premama cure morning sickness?
As a dietary supplement, Premama's products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Premama Prenatals contain ingredients to help ease morning sickness, * but we cannot guarantee a cure.
What is a Daily Value (DV) and why does Premama use % DV for Pregnant and Lactating Women on its Supplement Facts panels?
The Daily Value is the amount of a nutrient the body needs based on a 2000-calorie diet for an average sized person.According to the FDA, pregnant and lactating women have different dietary needs when compared to the average sized person. Following FDA guidelines, Premama® adjusts the % DV in its products to reflect the appropriate dietary needs of pregnant and lactating women. It is important that expectant consumers are aware their prenatal vitamin labels reflect the appropriate % DV for pregnant and lactating women.
Does Premama test for heavy metals (e.g. mercury and lead)?
Yes. Premama's Prenatal offerings contain high quality vitamins, minerals and oils that are stringently tested for heavy metals, such as mercury and lead to ensure conformance with FDA regulations.
